Things we know by heart

OVERVIEW:

When Quinn Sullivan meets the recipient of her boyfriend’s donated heart, the two form an unexpected connection.

After Quinn lost  her boyfriend in an accident, Trent, in an accident their junior year, she reaches out to the recipients of his donated organs in hopes of picking up the pieces of her now-unrecognizable life. She hears back from some of them, but the person who received Trent’s heart has remained silent. The essence of a person, she has always believed, is in the heart. If she finds Trent’s, then maybe she can have peace once and for all.
Risking everything in order to finally lay her memories to rest, Quinn goes outside the system to track down nineteen-year-old Colton Thomas—a guy whose life has been forever changed by this priceless gift. But what starts as an accidental run-in quickly develops into more, sparking an undeniable attraction. She doesn't want to give in to it—especially since he has no idea how they're connected—but their time together has made Quinn feel alive again. No matter how hard she’s falling for Colton, each beat of his heart reminds her of all she’s lost…and all that remains at stake.

REVIEW:

This book is really cute, and the characters connected really well. I’m not really a fan of teenage love stories especially sad ones. The story line was unique; well this is the first time I read a book about falling in love with the donor of your boyfriend’s heart. Well there was a movie called “The eye” wherein the recipient of the eye was seeing dead people and it was very creepy haha.. I know it doesn't have a connection but I remembered that movie when I read this book.. So bizarre!

Quin’s character was of course a grieving girlfriend who lost his boyfriend so unexpectedly. She hid from the world in the confines of her room. She still count the days on how long Trey has been dead. She meets up with the different recipients of Trey’s organs, but she really wants to meet the recipient of Trey’s heart. Because she believes that she will find closure when she meets the recipient but when her letter goes unanswered she decided to do her research and track down the recipient. Well closure was not the thing that she got; she fell in love with the recipient.

I love the emotions that were shown in the book.. The sadness and the hole that will never be filled when you lose someone you love. As said in the book “you just have to carry on but you will never forget..”
