My Life Undecided

OVERVIEW:

PLEASE READ THIS! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!
Okay, maybe that was a bit melodramatic, but I’m sorry, I’m feeling a bit melodramatic at the moment.

Here’s the deal. My name is Brooklyn Pierce, I’m fifteen years old, and I am decisionally challenged. Seriously, I can’t remember the last good decision I made. I can remember plenty of crappy ones though. Including that party I threw when my parents were out of town that accidentally burned down a model home. Yeah, not my finest moment, for sure.

But see, that’s why I started a blog. To enlist readers to make my decisions for me. That’s right. I gave up. Threw in the towel. I let someone else be the one to decide which book I read for English. Or whether or not I accepted an invitation to join the debate team from that cute-in-a-dorky-sort-of-way guy who gave me the Heimlich Maneuver in the cafeteria. (Note to self: Chew the melon before swallowing it.) I even let them decide who I dated!

Well, it turns out there are some things in life you simply can’t choose or have chosen for you—like who you fall in love with. And now everything’s more screwed up than ever.
But don’t take my word for it, read the book and decide for yourself. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll scream in frustration. Or maybe that’s just me. After all, it’s my life.

REVIEW:

Ok so let me just say that this book is really cute and the story was such a pleasant read! Now that it’s out of the way let the reviews begin…

Brooklyn is a fifteen year old who has a best friend and who also happens to be the queen bee in their school, so that makes her the sidekick. She always follows her best friend’s order and it seems like she can’t decide on her own because she is always in her best friend’s shadow. Anyway the side story is that Brooklyn is also known as “baby Brooklyn” why? Because when she was two years old she fell off a mine and got stuck, the rescue process was televised and that’s why she’s a bit famous.

But it seems that danger and unfortunate events always follow her… The trouble began when she accidentally burned down her mother’s project model house. It was her best friend’s idea but she got all the blame and the punishment. Another unfortunate event happened when her so called bff unfriended her or more like dismissed her in front of the whole school and now she’s an outcast…

Brooklyn feels that lately all her decision seems to be screw ups. So then she made a blog and she post stuff that needs to be decided on. And from there her journey started, she met people, fell in love, experienced loss and came more decisions…

I liked this book because it’s funny and it’s very entertaining! The character was easy to like, but her decisions gave me a headache! It reminds me of myself when I was a teenager, all the wrong decisions and the best friend drama and boys!! There are a lot of good points in the book, and the writing great. I definitely recommend this book for those who like a good book on a lazy afternoon reading... J
