OVERVIEW:
At age
thirty-nine, Lucie Walker has no choice but to start her life over when she
comes to, up to her knees in the chilly San Francisco Bay, with no idea how she
got there or who she is. Her memory loss is caused by an emotional trauma she
knows nothing about, and only when handsome, quiet Grady Goodall arrives at the
hospital does she learn she has a home, a career, and a wedding just two months
away. What went wrong?
Grady seems to care for her, but Lucie is no more sure
of him than she is of anything. As she collects the clues of her past self, she
unlocks the mystery of what happened to her. The painful secrets she uncovers
could hold the key to her future—if she trusts her heart enough to guide her.
REVIEW:
Lucy Walker has a career as a recruiter;
she is strong willed, loves designer clothes and expensive stuff. She is a
control freak and not really friendly at all. Lucy is engaged to Grady, he is
an engineer at Boeing and he loves Lucy even though they are very different as
night and day. Grady and Lucy are constantly fighting because of the stress in
their upcoming wedding, but their last fight was different... When Grady came
home Lucy was gone.
After 3 days Lucy was found standing
knee deep in San Francisco Bay. Grady went to San Franciscoto take Lucy home,
but Lucy can’t remember anything before or after her disappearance.
I think that
this book is interesting; well I know amnesia love stories are a bit cliché. It
was an average book for me. There were 3 narrators in the story, there’s Lucy,
Grady, and Helen (Lucy’s Aunt). The writing was ok and the plot was a bit
interesting,
I wasn’t that impressed in the story but it was a decent read.
Have you ever watched the movie “the vow”? It’s the one where Rachel McAdam’s
woke up and she also had amnesia and there was Channing Tatum telling her that
he is the husband. Yeah, the book is similar to that one… But the movie was so
much better than this book and well of course, because Channing Tatum is in the
movie hahaha
RATING:
3.5
